My Biography
Teaching has been a part of Aidan Elwell's life for nearly a decade. This experience ranges through different subjects, such as music and the martial arts, and different settings those being one-on-one and group classes. As for guitar, Aidan Elwell began playing at the age of fourteen and this led to receiving a degree in guitar performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in 2019. He now resides in Manlius, NY and will be studying under Kenneth Meyer at the Setnor School of Music for a Master's Degree.
Teaching Philosophy
It’s my belief, that the ultimate goal of lessons should simply be about making music. The technical side of guitar playing is very important and will certainly not be overlooked, but technique at the end of the day exists to serve music. To this end, I strive to ensure that every student can begin to play actual music as soon as possible. Should a student have absolutely no prior experience with guitar, I make sure by the end of the very first lesson that it is in their capacity to play music to whatever degree their faculties allow.
